Do I need to register my pet with the City?

Cats: do not need to be registered with the City of Bancroft.  

Dogs: do need to be registered, by July 1st of each year.

Every owner of a dog over the age of six (6) months shall procure a dog license from the City of Bancroft on or before the first day of July of each year, or within thirty (30) days of the animal being brought into the City, or when the animal has reached six (6) months of age. 

To register your dog with the City of Bancroft, you must deliver or mail a completed registration form, a vet's certification of rabies vaccination, and payment to City Hall. There is a $5 fee for each spayed/neutered dog or $10 for each unaltered dog. The registration form can be found below, along with a copy of the full City Ordinance.
