Beautiful parks of Bancroft Iowa

Bancroft, Iowa, may be small, but we are mighty. Holding small town values with big town ideas, Bancroft is always looking for opportunities to be on the cutting edge of growth and development along with offering a wealth of city services valued by residents and visitors alike.

For over 125 years, Bancroft has served as the economic and cultural hub of northern Kossuth County. To encourage business development, the city offers economic and other incentives to new or expanding businesses. Similar incentives are available to encourage residents to improve their homes. This has created high quality, yet affordable, housing for Bancroft residents.

The city offers a plethora of services including public water, sewer and electricity as well as weekly garbage collection. The city maintains police and ambulance services and the township fire department is located within the city limits.

Recreation opportunities abound for Bancroft residents including city maintained parks, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, a softball diamond and the famed and historic Bancroft Memorial Ballpark. The city also operates a water park that includes a newly renovated pool and waterslide.

The people of Bancroft and surrounding rural areas are served with main street businesses that include a grocery store, hardware store, furniture store, home entertainment sales and service, pharmacy and restaurants. Service businesses include dental clinic, chiropractic clinic, attorney, accounting/CPA office, spa, nursing home, fitness and health center, locally-owned bank, as well as a medical clinic, EMS, and volunteer fire department.
